Procurement Manager

South Houston Area

140-155k base plus 0-20% profit share and 9% on 6% 401k match, 9 / 80 work schedule

Our client is seeking a team builder and leader who can elevate the procurement function at a chemical plant. You will supervise a small team of buyers. They plant is shifting to rely less on corporate and they will cover more from the site.

Establish and maintain reliable procurement systems for the site

Coach and mentor staff

Manage change and drive continuous improvement

Manage negotiations and execute contracts

Manage high value contract relationships

Maintain adequate stores

Maintain cost control and fraud protection

Prepare for turnarounds

Brief board members and the global leadership team

BS Degree and previous supervisory experience is required, program building experience and strong negotiating skills are a plus. 5 or more years of chemical or refining industry are required.
