- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values
- Responsible for training all new employees including initial training for Pre-Service staff which includes order transcription, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, estimate creation, and the authorization process.
- Retraining efforts of all staff as process improvement opportunities are identified and cascaded to the teams.
- Trainer partners with necessary stakeholders specific to payer updates, system updates, and RTE and RTA functionality.
- Professionally and effectively creates and introduces the preservice training materials.
- Proactively measures training efforts to ensure the teams are progressing, as desired, and responds accordingly when additional training is required to ensure the Patient Access team member is properly equipped to perform said job responsibilities.
- Performs audits post training to ensure complete knowledge and understanding of the multiple tasks performed within the Patient Access Specialist and Auth Central teams.
- Partners with the QA Analyst and leadership on process improvement opportunities.
- Attends all necessary training classes and meetings needed to perform job duties
- May include travel to McLeod Health locations.
Work Schedule; 80 hours bi-weekly
Qualifications / Training :
Minimally 1 year current direct experience in scheduling, insurance and registration services
Extensive Customer Service and computer skills
Prior training experience is preferred
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal skills is a must
Ability to lead and speak in group settings
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations / Education
Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required from an accredited school
