The Department of Journalism is accepting applications to be considered for Part-Time Faculty assignments. The Department will review applications in this pool as the need arises for new part-time faculty in this area.

Instructor Qualifications

• Master’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Speech Communication, Mass Communication, or Communications.
• OR Master’s degree in a related area (e.g. History, Economics, Political Science, Sociology) and thirty (30) graduate quarter hours in the subject area.
• OR Instructors without one of the degrees listed above could be hired on the basis of professional competence : Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications, or Journalism and two (2) or more years of professional experience working in mass media.
