RESPONSIBILITIES
Taxes
- Register for new tax jurisdictions as needed
- Maintain current tax accounts (school, local, state, SUI, etc.)
- Research and process tax corrections and amendments
- Serve as primary point of contact for multi-state workers’ compensation, including coding, projections, and reconciliation
Retirement / 401(k)
Audit participant loans and deferral changes for accuracy and compliancePrepare and manage the annual 401(k) censusCoordinate annual nondiscrimination testing (NDT)Manage / assist with the 401(k) plan audit and support external auditorsMaintain Fidelity PSW database and recordsProcess owners’ 401(k) monthly uploads and fundingWorkers’ Compensation
Complete the annual workers’ compensation true-upManage installment payments and maintain documentationPayroll & Time and Attendance
Manage time and attendance processes, systems, communications, and controlsMaintain ADP database integrity, including updates and auditsCreate and distribute ADP / payroll reportingServe as backup for end-to-end payroll processingPrepare payroll projections and forecastingRespond to burden rate requestsAssist with maintaining the budget file (salary changes, benefit changes, etc.)Audit and finalize new hires in ADPMaintain Viewpoint and Vista Portal data related to HR / payrollUpload weekly payroll GLs and maintain GL settings in ADPProcess owners’ guaranteed paymentsCoordinate PSP annual bonus payroll runManage / assist with annual salary adjustmentsAdminister employee referral and service award paymentsProcess garnishments and child support orders in compliance with regulationsBilling

Assist with annual open enrollment, qualifying events, and benefit changesServe as primary point of contact for associate benefit questions, ensuring timely, accurate supportCompliance
Prepare and file annual reports : W-2, 1095, EEO-1, VETS-100, AAP, and 5500sMonitor and support Labor & Hour compliance (FLSA).Conduct routine internal audits, including I-9 compliance and related documentationQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
5+ years of HR operations, payroll, or benefits administration experience; construction or multi-state experience a plusWorking knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems; ADP experience strongly preferredFamiliarity with multi-state taxes, SUI, garnishments, and workers’ compensation practicesExperience with 401(k) plan administration, annual census, and NDT; exposure to plan audits preferredStrong Excel skills and comfort with reporting, reconciliations, and GL uploadsProven ability to manage sensitive data with discretion and maintain data integrityAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Accounting, or related field preferred; relevant certifications (e.g., FPC / CPP, SHRM-CP) are a plusBENEFITS
