We're looking for compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to provide personal care, home management, and supportive health services under the supervision of a licensed nurse. What You'll Do As a Home Health Aide Assist patients with daily personal care : bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, and feeding Prepare and serve meals (normal / therapeutic diets), monitor intake, and support hydration Transfer patients safely between bed, chair, wheelchair, and assist with mobility Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, intake / output) Provide assistance with self-administered medications as directed by medical staff Support prescribed exercise programs, positioning, and range-of-motion activities Perform light housekeeping : making beds, tidying patient rooms, laundry, kitchen / bath cleaning Provide companionship, emotional support, and orientation for confused patients Report any changes in patient condition promptly to the supervising nurse Use equipment safely (walker, wheelchair, commode, Hoyer lift, hospital bed, etc.) What We're Looking For Successful completion of a NY State DOH-approved HHA training program Valid Home Health Aide Certificate Ability to read, write, and communicate in English (for documentation and patient safety) Basic math skills to track weight, intake / output, and other measurements Compassion, patience, and the ability to follow simple one- or two-step instructions Ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50 lbs occasionally; frequent standing and walking required) Strong interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare staff What HHAs Do Not Do No catheter irrigation, sterile dressing, enemas, gastric lavage, or application of heat Tasks outside of the NYS DOH Scope of Practice Location Bronx, NY Brooklyn, NY Queens, NY Westchester, NY Assignments are in patients' homes within these service areas Why Join Dada Home Care?
