The Education Program Manager plays a key leadership role in our expanding nonprofit, advancing mission-driven growth through program oversight, staff and volunteer management, and strategic partnerships and supporting fundraising efforts. Ideal candidates are passionate about youth development, educational equity, and workforce diversity, bringing strong management, interpersonal, and innovation skills.
Qualifications, Experience, Abilities & Skills
We're seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead our program department, oversee the AISS College to Career Readiness STEM program, and design programs for high-achieving high school students from underserved communities.
Bachelors degree in a relevant field; nonprofit management, business, education (Masters preferred)3+ years in nonprofit leadership or program managementProven experience mentoring and supporting secondary studentsSkilled in team leadership, budget oversight, and program and partnership developmentStrong communicator with proven stakeholder engagement experienceStrategic planner with sharp organizational and multitasking abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office and Google WorkspaceExcellent written and digital communication skills, including professional email etiquetteValid drivers license and reliable transportationWhat Sets You Apart :

Program Leadership & Strategic Planning
Building and maintaining strong relationships with staff, scholars and other stakeholders.Lead curriculum and activity design for all scholar programs.Lead recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of scholars and volunteers.Provide clear direction and vision to instructors, advisors, scholars and stakeholders.Lead collaborative project initiatives.Establish program milestones and manage adherence to master plans and schedules.Support compliance with agreements, relevant legislation and professional standards.Represent the organization at fundraisers, community events and sector-specific forums.Collaborate with the development team on gathering data for grant proposals and reports.Ensure all programs align with organizational mission and strategic priorities.Operational Oversight & Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise program staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality service delivery and goal alignmentDevelop work plans, delegate responsibilities, and track performance metrics to drive continuous improvementCollaborate with leadership to refine policies, manage budgets, and allocate resources effectivelyOversee scheduling and instructional planning to meet program milestones, compliance standards, and stakeholder expectationsFacilitate cross-functional collaboration and staff development through team meetings, professional learning, and strategic planningAlumni Engagement & Mentorship
Develop and maintain systems for alumni tracking, reporting and outreachFacilitate outreach opportunities and engagement strategies to cultivate ongoing alumni relationshipsFacilitate program evaluation by gathering alumni outcomes and feedback to guide data-informed improvements and reportingGeneral Administration
Produce reports, program content, and internal communicationsPerform administrative functions including data entry, filing, correspondence, and office operationsFlexibly assist with additional responsibilities as assignedFlexible work from home options available.
