Financial Analyst III
The Financial Analyst III will support a portfolio of projects including the STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) Activity. This builds upon the U.S. Government's Global Health Security (GHS) and other global health investments to enhance diagnostic networks and surveillance capabilities in partner countries. Through STRIDES, the United States extends its support for life-saving activities to address the urgent need to improve infectious disease detection, surveillance, and data systems for priority diseases that pose public health risks for outbreaks, while also providing emergency response support when outbreaks occur. In doing so, STRIDES aims to halt outbreaks before they spread by supporting human and animal health systems to provide quality, sustainable services. STRIDES also advances cross-sectoral efforts to identify, manage, and respond to infectious disease threats; detect and prevent further outbreaks; and build trust in a country's disease detection and surveillance structures.
Job Summary : The Financial Analyst III will coordinate financial operations, including overall financial monitoring and support / guidance to country offices, to ensure the fiscal well-being of supported projects. S / he provides financial management and guidance, conducts analyses of financial data, provides budget analyses for project funds, and reviews and prepares required reports to the donor to ensure compliance with the donor's requirements. S / he proactively guides and supports respective financial success by providing high level analytical expertise, implementing business strategies and developing strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities include : creating, reviewing, and monitoring multiple country program budgets with annual budgets ranging from $1-20M; assisting in subaward management; providing on-site and remote financial technical assistance to country-based staff; interpreting and explaining discrepancies in financial data; processing invoices and travel expense reports; independently analyzing and resolving complex challenges; using financial systems to produce reports, analysis, financial models, and databases; interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating data; ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal statutes; applying advanced level technical and administrative knowledge of the rules and regulations; serving as a subject matter expert and leading teams on complex issues; documenting complex issues and articulating written conclusions; implementing, enhancing, and evaluating tools, systems, and processes; and serving as a trusted advisor to management.

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to : relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.
Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 7% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours / week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
US Based Hiring Salary Range : USD $95,000 - $105,000
International hiring ranges will differ based on location.
