Job description

Overview

Public Relations Specialist II to join our Digital PR Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Public Relations, the Digital PR Specialist executes data-driven PR campaigns to power the success of BOLD’s multiple B2C brands in the US and internationally. This role requires experience working with reporters to secure press coverage on behalf of companies, as well as a deep understanding of the US media landscape, PR trends and best practices.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with the Sr. Director of Public Relations and Sr. Manager of Public Relations to support the health and performance of BOLD’s overall PR program
  • Direct the PR content calendar for specific brands, focusing on growing earned media wins
  • Write, edit, and pitch press releases and other content to external audiences; ghostwrite for spokesperson when necessary
  • Develop and foster relationships with key reporters to support earned media coverage; respond to inbound press inquiries and help coordinate media interviews
  • Build BOLD brands’ reputations as key players in the resume and career advice space
  • Collaborate across PR, content, social media, and career experts to generate ideas and identify opportunities to innovate and engage target audiences
  • Draft internally-run surveys and analyze findings to share with the press

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years of media relations experience, with a proven track record of pitching content to the press and working with reporters
  • Strong track record of pitching and securing press coverage
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
  • Experience translating data from surveys into meaningful insights for external audiences
  • Knowledge of CISION or other PR software platforms
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • What’s good to have

  • Background in PR agency work
  • Existing relationships with reporters at national publications and top outlets focused on business and career topics (e.g., CNBC, Forbes, WSJ, NYT, Business Insider)
  • Understanding of job search, career, and job market trends
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices
  • Experience running internal surveys to collect, analyze, and report data

    Starting pay range : $80,000—$97,000 USD

    Pay Transparency : Individual pay is based on location, transferable skills, experience, and other factors. This range is based on market data and may change. Bonus and applicable benefits may be available subject to plan terms.
