As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence throughout the location. Conduct regular and random patrols around campus buildings and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activities and identify potential issues. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas. Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports as required by site-specific procedures. Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services during critical situations as directed by site management. Assist individuals on the premises by providing directions, answering questions, and offering general support as needed. Remain alert to surroundings and changing conditions in order to address any security-related concerns at the location. Minimum Requirements : Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Access control and / or badge experience is preferred. Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
