About the Team

The Financial Partnerships team at Airwallex is dedicated to building and managing strategic relationships with key financial institutions and partners worldwide. We work to expand Airwallex's network, enhance our product offerings, and drive mutual growth. By fostering strong collaborations, we ensure our customers have access to the best financial solutions and services. Our team is committed to delivering value through innovative and seamless partnerships.

What You'll Do

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Partnerships, to be based in San Francisco or New York to own our key strategic relationships related to our banking infrastructure across the US and the Americas. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and 'out of the box' thinker who has worked in the payments and / or financial services industry. Experience building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions in the US and the Americas whilst working at a payment institution / EMI is essential for this role. You must have a strong network of banking partners, card schemes, and payment networks to help Airwallex scale.

Responsibilities :

• Lead, develop, and implement a banking partnerships strategy for the US and the Americas that supports our vision for Airwallex's global collections and payouts network.
• Manage our most strategic partnership opportunities, both existing and new, and act as the main point of contact between Airwallex and our partners.
• Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape to ensure that Airwallex maintains its position as a payment leader.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to integrate with local banking partners, acquirers, and payment methods as Airwallex expands to new geographies.
• Coordinate due diligence processes with prospective partners and project manage onboarding with new partners.
• Develop yourself as an industry thought leader.
