Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Brownsville, Texas 78526 (South Texas healthcare jobs)

Unit : Level 3 NICU (10 NICU beds, 6 Stepdown beds)

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026)

Dress Code : Royal Blue Scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1680-$1800

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state

Minimum 4 years of recent Level 3 NICU nursing experience

Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and STABLE certifications

Ability to float to Newborn Nursery and Pediatric units as needed

Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

NICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 3 NICU setting

Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using electronic medical records

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals

Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform specialized NICU procedures

Educate and support families throughout the neonatal care process

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols

Float to Newborn Nursery and Pediatrics as required to support patient care
