Job Title : Senior Financial & Corporate Insurance Analyst
Location : Greensboro, NC (On-site)
Job Summary :
The Senior Financial & Corporate Insurance Analyst is a role that resides in the Finance department and focuses on two primary areas of responsibility : (a) financial planning and analysis (FP&A), assisting the Corporate Controller and Director of Finance with these activities, and (b) oversight of the Company’s risk management and commercial insurance programs , working with the Company’s insurance broker and insurance carriers. The two primary areas of responsibility for this role are somewhat equally weighted as noted below, with the FP&A duties running on a schedule generally in-line with the Company’s period closing processes, while the risk management duties will follow the general schedule of the commercial insurance policies renewals and reporting that are staggered throughout the calendar year.
Key Responsibilities :
- FP&A duties, including the following specific activities : (45%)
Analysis of interim and period financial results by location.
Review of profitability drivers that are incremental or decremental to the expected results.Development of reports to focus on analysis of results and drivers for over and under performance.Conduct reviews with plant and corporate financial and management personnel to review results and identify corrective actions to improve performance.Risk Management activities and responsibilities, including the following specific activities, in coordination with insurance broker Woodruff Sawyer : (45%)Worker’s Compensation (US), including self-insured states (currently NC, VA, WV, ME, VT and OR) with the assistance of Gallagher Bassett, and insured states (WI and states with remote workers) with the assistance of Liberty Mutual.
General Liability (US and Canada), with assistance of Liberty Mutual.Automotive (US and Canada), with the assistance of Liberty Mutual.Management Liability, including Directors & Officers, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary, Crime, Kidnap & Ransom, and Fiduciary Excess, with the assistance of Chubb and CNA.Travel Accident.Property (US and Canada), with assistance of multiple carriers.Directors & Officers for the CFP Foundation.Self-Insurance worker’s compensation surety and other bonds.Other tasks / projects as assigned. (10%)Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university. MBA or Master’s is a plus.5+ years of work experience.Prior experience with commercial insurance programs required, with experience in a multi-location manufacturing business preferred.Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation is a plus.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP System is a plus.Key Competencies :
