Administrative Assistant 4 (Child Welfare-Monroe Region)
This position is located in the Monroe Region Child Welfare department in Monroe, LA. This position serves as the personal and confidential Administrative Assistant to the DCFS Area Director of Child Welfare Services for the Monroe Region. Minimum Qualifications : Three years of experience in administrative services. Experience substitution : Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties :
Collects and prepares monthly reports such as Overtime, FMLA, Work plans, budgetDevelop and maintain a tracking / monitoring system for the timely submission of reports and documentsObtain fingerprints for internsCompose and type routine correspondenceAttend staff meetingsProvide administrative support to Child Welfare managers and local office staff throughout the regionServe as contact person for IT Support, State Police, work orders, and technical equipmentPerforms related duties as assignedPosition-Specific Details :
Appointment Type : This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.Work Schedule : Typically, work hours are 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, Monday Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for.
