We are looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts, on a contract basis. This position involves handling payroll operations for a mid-sized workforce, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and skilled in payroll systems and procedures.
Responsibilities :
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees and biweekly payroll for 900 employees.
- Ensure accurate input and uploading of commission and severance payments.
- Collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager and Supervisor to maintain smooth payroll operations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Utilize advanced payroll software and timekeeping systems to manage employee data.
- Maintain compliance with payroll regulations and policies.
- Ensure timely calculation and processing of garnishments and other deductions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and systems.
- Provide support in hybrid work arrangements, including remote and on-site attendance as required.
- Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing for 100-500 employees.
- Familiarity with severance and commission payment uploads.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and timekeeping systems.
- Ability to handle garnishments and deductions with precision.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
- Capacity to adapt to hybrid work schedules and attend on-site when necessary.
