Mechanical Commissioning Engineer – Semiconductor Fab Construction (ASME)

Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled  Mechanical Commissioning Engineer  with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in  semiconductor fabrication facility new construction . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in  ASME mechanical systems , including installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning of complex process and utility systems. This role requires a deep understanding of ASME codes, commissioning procedures, and the unique demands of cleanroom environments within semiconductor manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities :

• Plan, execute, and document commissioning activities for all mechanical process and utility systems in compliance with  ASME codes, project specifications, and client requirements .
• Oversee start-up, functional testing, and performance verification of HVAC, chilled water, process cooling, compressed air, process gas, and other mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA / QC, and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to operations.
• Develop and maintain commissioning schedules, checklists, and test procedures.
• Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment submittals, and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve deficiencies, non-conformances, and punch list items during commissioning.
• Ensure adherence to  ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code ,  ASME B31.3 Process Piping , and other relevant standards.
• Collaborate with equipment vendors, subcontractors, and trades to ensure proper installation and system performance.
• Maintain detailed records, test reports, and turnover documentation for client acceptance.
• Enforce safety procedures and cleanroom protocols throughout commissioning activities.
