Description :

The Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in providing patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The facility has 109 licensed beds and is an Advanced Primary Stroke Center.

The unit has a capacity of 16 beds.

Patient populations include both pediatric and adult patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, chest pain, myocardial infarction, N-STEMI, stroke, TIA, new-onset cardiac arrhythmia, uncontrolled diabetes, and minor trauma.

Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1 : 4-5 based on acuity.

Support within the department includes the presence of a Charge Nurse, and the opportunity to collaborate with ancillary departments such as respiratory therapy and a 24 / 7 hospitalist and ED physician team.

The facility utilizes an Electronic Medical Record system, specifically Epic, alongside equipment such as Alaris IV pumps and Phillips tele monitors.

There is a requirement to float to regional facilities as needed, within the scope of practice.
