Senior Project Accountant

Summary

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant to join our accounting team with a focus on driving high-impact projects and process improvements. In this role, you'll go beyond routine accounting work-leading project deliverables, implementing automation, optimizing workflows, and partnering across the business to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant financial outcomes.

You'll serve as a key contributor on initiatives ranging from new system implementations to product launches and process redesigns, all while mentoring other team members and providing subject matter expertise. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Project Accounting & Process Improvement

• Lead project accounting initiatives by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting financial data for strategic decision-making.
• Drive process enhancements and automation within the monthly close and general ledger workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accounting requirements are met for major business initiatives, system changes, and product rollouts.
• Develop, test, and implement new accounting procedures, tools, and templates to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee system testing and validation for new accounting software features and automation tools, ensuring smooth adoption and integration.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation and training materials to support consistent execution.
• Serve as the accounting lead on projects such as :

Implementation or enhancement of systems and tools (e.g., ERP, Planning, and Reporting platforms)
