Position Purpose and Objectives
Under direction of department supervisor or manager, performs the cleaning and sanitization of all liquid, topical product manufacturing, transfer, delivery system components and filling equipment.
Essential Job Functions
- Compliance with all cGMP and SOP’s.
- Takes all precautions when working with cleaning and sanitizing agents as recommended by Material Safety Data Sheets and other company safety requirements.
- Maintains product transfer pumps in proper operating conditions, both mechanically and compliance with sanitary cleaning procedures.
- Communicates with Management and Supervisors as to the status of any equipment state of readiness.
- Clean, sanitize and maintain excellent standards for facility.
- Maintain accurate sanitation records.
- Report inventory & equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
- Clean working area and equipment after usage.
- Follow appropriate sanitary procedures while handling inventory.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
- Dismantle, clean, sanitize and reassemble production equipment.
- Follow sanitation procedures precisely, without exception.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Maintain facility and equipment according to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and regulated food production standards cGMPs.
Supervisory Responsibility
None.
Working Conditions
Strong interaction with Maintenance Manager, Production Manager and Supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years Experience.
- Must conform to all quality standards of the company.
- Must observe the company core values.
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for up to 7 hours.
- Work frequently in a wet / humid & slippery environment.
- Able & willing to work overtime.
- Ability to take initiative and work without close supervision.
- Motivated, self-starter takes initiative and self-directed.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic; Team player.
- Detailed oriented, mechanically inclined and organized person.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Must speak fluent English. Bilingual English / Spanish is helpful.
- Knowledge in the use of cleaning supplies & chemicals and capable of comprehending additional training in sanitation & safety regulations.

Working Hours
First Shift : 6 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
Second Shift : 4 : 15 p.m. to 12 : 30 a.m.
