Job Title : Registered Nurse – Newborn Nursery (Travel Assignment)

Location : Austin, TX 78705 (Texas nursing jobs)

Unit : Newborn Nursery (Level 4 Maternal Designation)

Assignment Type : Travel Nurse

Duration : 12 weeks (Start : 09 / 02 / 2025 – End : 11 / 25 / 2025)

Shift : 12 Hour Days (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM), rotating weekends, no on-call

Hours per Week : 36

Number of Beds : 40

EMR Systems : CPN and Meditech

Dress Code : Navy blue scrubs

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1260 - $1350

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Newborn Nursery or Mother-Baby units

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment

Strong multi-tasking, adaptability, and clinical support skills

Excellent communication and patient care abilities

RN Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to newborns and families

Monitor, assess, and document infant health status

Assist with nursery procedures, including circumcisions

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (RNs, unit clerks, support staff)

Maintain accurate records using CPN and Meditech EMR systems

Follow standardized order sets, unit policies, and best practices
