Critical Infrastructure Armed Security Officer
Position Overview
Martinez and Company is actively seeking disciplined, dedicated, and well-trained Florida Class "D" and Armed "G" License Security Officers to join our Critical Infrastructure Security Team.
Locations : Hillsborough County and Manatee County, Florida
Employment Type : Part-Time, 1st Shift
Various Shifts Available : Monday through Sunday
Shift Times : 07 : 00 am 07 : 00 pm
Starting Compensation : $18.00 - $24.00 per hour, plus $250 Sign-on Bonus
- Includes 27 hours of new hire paid training between minimum wage and site training at $18 / hour.
- Final Interview Process is a 4-hour unpaid Pre-Hire Orientation.
Sign-On Bonus Qualifications :
To qualify for the $250 sign-on bonus, candidates must meet the following requirements : 1) Possess military or law enforcement experience, 2) Hold an Unarmed D Security License, 3) Hold an Armed G Security License, and 4) Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).Company Benefits :

Provide customer service by implementing safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriateRespond to incidents and critical situations calmly and using problem-solving skillsConduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary depending on the client siteRequired Qualifications and LicensesPossession of approved Florida Class "D" and "G" licenses from the State of Florida DOACSCompletion of an approved State of Florida 40-hour Unarmed Security Officer Course and 28-hour Armed Security Officer CoursePossession of the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)Ability to provide proof of high school diploma, college degree, or valid state GED certificateValid driver's license with a clean driving historyMinimum Qualifications and Education

Current or previous U.S. military or law enforcement experience (documentation required for preference entitlement)Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidaysReliable personal transportation and ability to commute to assigned job sites24 / 7 access to a smartphone and computer with internet connectivityIntermediate computer skills, including emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, and Adobe PDFAbility to work independently with minimal supervision; must be self-motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasksStrong English communication skills, including reading and writing, and ability to interpret complex instructions, procedures, and regulationsAbility to work safely in various environments, including commercial and industrial locationsCapacity to obtain necessary personal uniform itemsGood physical condition, including the ability to walk up and down stairs in limited spaces and lift up to 50 poundsMaintain a neat, professional appearance and wear the assigned uniform properly; tattoos must be covered, and grooming standards must be followed as per company policyAbility to pass a drug test and background investigationPreferred Additional Skills
