Membership Director
We are seeking a dynamic Membership Director responsible for driving new member growth and maintaining prospect lists. This role involves conducting prospect meetings, managing the sales pipeline, and maintaining the prospect database. The Membership Director will also respond to requests from prospects and current members, attend industry events to promote membership, and collaborate with the Board of Directors and Membership Council to develop and execute membership recruitment campaigns.
Responsibilities include :
- Achieve new member growth and maintain prospect lists.
- Conduct prospect meetings and manage the sales pipeline.
- Respond to prospect and current member requests for information and services.
- Attend industry and chapter networking events to promote membership.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors and the Membership Council to maintain member service programs, develop prospect lists, and achieve committee goals.
- Develop and execute membership recruitment campaigns.
- Compile and analyze recruitment statistics and reports.
- Travel within Iowa Chapter's geographical boundaries to recruit new members.
- Execute new member integration plan to encourage engagement within the first 12 months.
- Maintain and report member activity and participation in the association database.
- Serve as staff liaison to the Membership Council and other committees as assigned.
- Retain current chapter members to achieve net membership growth.
- Work with the Board of Directors to develop and implement retention strategies.
- Promote all chapter and national services including apprenticeship training, safety training, and insurance programs.
- Identify and develop appropriate member services and non-dues revenue opportunities.
Essential Skills :
5+ years of experience in membership sales, association or non-profit business development, marketing, or communications.Understanding of the construction industry.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Technological proficiency with advanced skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and related business and communication tools.Strong project management and organizational skills.Excellent customer service skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications :

The role requires working Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Additional earnings include commission and bonuses, potentially up to $25,000 annually.The position offers competitive benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, a 401(k), a Section 125 plan, and provisions for a vehicle and cell phone.The role involves traveling 50% of the time within Iowa, with expenses covered, to meet members in major cities like Council Bluffs, Fort Dodge, Waterloo, Quad Cities, and Dubuque.Job Type & Location :

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
