About the Role
We're seeking a strategic and analytical Valuations Manager to lead complex valuation engagements, with a primary focus on financial institution valuation in support of financial and regulatory reporting. This role will manage projects such as purchase price allocation, goodwill impairments, ESOP, gifting, estate settlement, and minority shareholder transactions. While experience with financial institutions is preferred, candidates with strong general valuation or financial institution audit backgrounds who are willing to learn the specifics of financial reporting are encouraged to apply. The position offers autonomy, the opportunity to work with a lean, high-performing team, and the chance to drive client impact. We are prioritizing candidates who live within 60 miles of a Wipfli office to support collaboration and client engagement. However, we welcome applications from qualified candidates outside this range, including remote options.
Responsibilities
Lead Engagements : Independently manage valuation projects from start to finish, including direct client interaction, data collection, timeline organization, and report drafting.
Financial Analysis & Reporting : Conduct and review financial analyses, industry and economic research, projections, due diligence, extensive modeling, and prepare comprehensive reports.
Client Presentations : Deliver findings to clients and stakeholders such as client c-suites, advisors, attorneys, boards of directors, and other decision-makers with clarity and confidence.
Business Development : Support growth initiatives by creating marketing materials, attending prospect meetings, contributing to proposals, and building client relationships.
Consulting & Recordkeeping : Provide document consulting and maintain records in accordance with firm standards and best practices.
Team Collaboration : Work closely with partners, analysts, and other team members.
Project Management : Manage multiple engagements (typically 1020 at various stages), with most projects lasting four to six weeks.
