Job Description
Duties / Responsibilities
- Leverage simulation tools, mainly Siemens Process Simulate to support digital twin and smart factory initiatives.
- Perform part and product flow analysis
- Produce 2D / 3D CAD models, as needed
- Produce cycle times and sequences of operation
- Perform ergonomic analysis
- Perform Robot Reach & Payload studies
- Perform Robot Path simulation
- Analyze shop needs; recommend process efficiency methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure process feasibility and scalability.
- Conduct "what-if" analyses to assess the impact of design changes, resource allocation, or production scenarios.
- Generate reports, visualizations, and recommendations for leadership decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, reducing cycle times, eliminating bottlenecks, and enhancing throughput.
Requirements
Required Skills / Abilities :
Extensive experience with Siemens Process Simulate software3D Modeling software experience; Siemens NX / SketchupExperience in digital twin development and Industry 4.0 applicationsExperience with integrated systems engineering utilizing a broad range of products manufactured by the automated systemUnderstanding of controls hardware and software best practicesUnderstanding of safety protocol and best practices as related to automation.Experience troubleshooting different component OEM's and applicationsExperience in Industry 4.0 applications.Programming / scripting knowledge (Python, VBA, C++, etc.) for simulation automation.Prior exposure to DoD, FAA, or EASA regulatory environments preferredProject management or leadership experience in simulation-driven initiativesEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years experience in System Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or Related DisciplineComplex manufacturing process understandingCandidate should be self-starter and able to work with minimal directionExcellent judgment and professional maturityExpert ability to craft clear communicationsUS Citizen due to program requirementsThe ability to obtain a US Government Secret ClearanceRequirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ year(s) of relevant experienceProficiency with Microsoft Project scheduling softwareStrong understanding of critical path methodology (CPM), earned value management (EVM), and schedule risk analysis.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex data.Strong communication skills with ability to interact effectively across disciplines and organizational levelsDirect experience with project management in an engineering environmentAbility to proactively take action to drive on-time resultsOutstanding communication and technical writing skillsExcellent customer service skillsMust be a U.S. Citizen
