Registered Nurse (RN) – Trauma Ortho / Neuro Medical Surgical Unit

Pay : $26 – $38 / hr (based on experience and tenure)

Night Differential : +$4.50 / hr

Weekend Differential : +$2.00 / hr

Certification Differential : +$2.00 / hr (national certification)

Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 (Days) / $15,000 (Nights) – tiered payout

Relocation Assistance : Up to $5,000 with HR approval

Shifts : Full-time, 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights, rotating weekends required)

Overview

Join a 383-bed Level II Trauma Center serving Florida’s west coast, minutes from Sarasota and Tampa. This role is based on the Trauma Ortho / Neuro Medical-Surgical unit , providing specialized care to patients recovering from trauma, orthopedic surgery, and neurological conditions. With award-winning specialty centers, this facility is nationally recognized for advanced patient care, education, and innovation.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care to patients on the Ortho / Neuro Trauma Med-Surg floor.

Perform ongoing assessments, administer medications, and manage post-surgical recovery.

Provide education to patients and families regarding rehabilitation and long-term care needs.

Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

Document care accurately and efficiently in accordance with policy.

Qualifications

Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred .

Current Florida RN license or compact state RN license.

BLS required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).

ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire .

Minimum 1 year RN experience required (hospital preferred, but LTACH, Rehab, or Home Health RN backgrounds considered ).

Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.

Must be able to perform frequent standing, lifting, bending, and moving of patients / equipment (up to 50 lbs).

Onsite interview required to be considered for offer.
