A New York City based government contractor has in-house experts covering virtually every aspect of program implementation and is currently looking for case managers.
The duties will vary but in general the following are expected :
- Contact with public housing residents to inform them of Lead Abatement program
- Coordination with other outreach and relocation specialists
- Coordination of temporary relocation of public housing residents to hotels or other living quarters while their units are having lead removed
- Track the progress of residents' projects to coordinate safe and efficient return home
- Provide clear, summary-level progress updates to managers
- Provide clear, regular updates to program applicants on case status by phone and email
- Conduct door to door canvassing to inform public housing residents about lead abatement program and gather information.
- Other duties as required
The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum requirements :
- 3-5 years of experience working with residents of government-supported housing
- Experience in community outreach, case management, call center, polling, and general public interaction preferred
- Experience working directly with the public, conveying information, answering questions, recording communications and interacting with a large team of project management professionals is preferred.
- NYCHA residents encouraged to apply
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong research and writing skills a plus
