What We're Looking For :
If you are a Technical Engineer with at least 10 years of experience supporting the development and implementation of technical solutions across application systems, then you will be excited about the Principal Enterprise Solutions Engineer opening with Iridium on our Enterprise Architecture and Applications team. As a Principal Engineer, you'll be responsible for identifying and autonomously implementing ideas and solutions in support of our major Enterprise Service Management and Major Initiatives activities. In this role, you will focus primarily on major vendor relationships, steering enterprise service management, architecting platforms and enterprise applications.
What You'll Do :
ServiceNow Product Owner and Architect : Overall responsibility for the platform / product, including maintaining the roadmap, prioritizing new features / enhancements, stakeholder management, and owning the relationship with ServiceNow. This includes owning ServiceNow at a technical level , setting and enforcing best practices, providing support for performance issues, security, integration with other tooling solutions, and supporting family releases
- Lead ServiceNow platform design, flow implementation and platform operational support
- Build implementation roadmaps from strategic architectural vision, help build technical plans and acceptance criteria
- Provide the design and documentation of enterprise platform architectures for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments with a focus on API integration, data flows, and scalable frameworks
- Create a comprehensive technical specifications for automation frameworks, operational tooling, and reusable architectural patterns that improve consistency and delivery speed
- Participate in structured assessments of new initiatives using established evaluation models to identify risks, define requirements, and recommend actionable technical solutions
- Manage vendor relationship deliverables including detailed SOW creation, technical requirement documentation, performance tracking, and compliance verification for strategic enterprise partnership alliances (AWS, Microsoft, ServiceNow, Atlassian
- Support cross-functional program delivery by providing technical expertise
- Ensure regulatory compliance alignment in all technical designs, incorporating SOX, PCI, HIPAA, ITAR / EAR, and NIST requirements into implementation specifications
- Conduct technical research and evaluation of emerging technologies and vendor capabilities against defined business criteria and architectural standards
- Facilitate and lead structured stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, present technical recommendations, and support decision-making processes with clear documentation and analysis
What You'll Need to Succeed :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience10+ years of relevant experience in enterprise architecture or related technical roles with demonstrated success in translating business requirements into detailed technical implementationsTechnical expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), enterprise applications, API integration, and hybrid architecture designProven track record of supporting complex technical projects with clear direction and established processes, consistently meeting quality and timeline expectationsStrong documentation and analytical skills with the ability to create comprehensive technical specifications, implementation guides, and assessment reportsExperience with enterprise vendor management including SOW development, contract support, and technical requirement definition for major technology partnershipsRegulatory and compliance expertise in designing solutions for controlled environments including government, financial services, or healthcare sectorsFunctional domain knowledge across enterprise systems including ERP, HCM, financial applications, and operational analytics platformsAutomation and tooling experience with a focus on operational efficiency, workflow optimization, and reusable architectural patternsTechnical program support experience including scope management, milestone tracking, and cross-functional coordination within established governance structuresProfessional communication skills for participating in structured meetings, presenting technical information to diverse audiences, and supporting consensus-building through clear documentationIndustry certifications preferred such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or relevant vendor-specific credentials22Have confidence and be able to easily build relationships with leadership and colleagues outside of your teamPossess an analytical mindset, with the ability to understand a situation or problem and think critically to make decisions and come up with out-of-the-box solutionsBe proactive in providing feedback and be enthusiastic in sharing your knowledge with othersCapable of prioritizing your own tasks and potentially the tasks of others while making sure deadlines are metWe'll also need you to :
