Electric Boat Groton shipyard is seeking Deckplate Planners who are ready to work in a fast paced production environment performing planning functions in support of Groton Operations departments. The Planning organization offers exciting opportunities for individuals seeking a long term career path at Electric Boat. Candidates must be highly motivated, self-starters who are detail and task oriented and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and interface with multiple organizations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

• Development & maintenance of Work Instructions using Teamcenter & PCM / EWP
• Incorporation of design changes (CRs / CNs), LOA revisions, problem sheets, work transfers, etc.
• Adherence to planning processes & procedures
• Collaboration with peers and supervision for the development of new processes and procedures
• Executing department goals related to quality and attainment
• Monitoring construction schedules
• Performing tactical problem solving
• Collaboration with internal & external stakeholders
• Problem resolution
• Collaboration with the Operations, Ships Management, and Production Control Planning customers
