Transitional / Interim Director of Pharmacy

Job Description

CompleteRx is looking for a dynamic Transitional / Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and strategic direction at our partnered hospitals. The individual will travel and serve as an interim DOP until the hire of a DOP for the hospital. To meet the needs of our hospital, the position requires at least 80% travel across the U.S.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Director of Pharmacy who is adept at managing change. If you enjoy traveling and leading a staff during a transitional period, consider our opportunity. As a liaison between CompleteRx and hospital administration, the individual will work on special projects and establish relationships.

Position Summary

Transitional / Interim Director of Pharmacy provides leadership to the pharmacy department. Transitional leaders are responsible for meeting all the pertinent state, federal and regulatory requirements. They assist with training the incoming pharmacy director and complete an orderly transfer of duties to that individual. Transitional leaders may lead or assist with projects including automated dispensing cabinet installs, pharmacy information system installs / upgrades, IV validations, and operation service reviews (OSR). Transitional leaders may provide interim service as an assistant director of pharmacy or as a staff pharmacist.
