Job Description : The successful candidate will ensure proper servicing of all banquet functions and assist in the operation and management of the Banquet Department. This includes disseminating information on event orders, servicing and setting up personnel to ensure accurate, timely, and professional functions. The role also involves up-selling, attaining labor goals, and supervising all food and beverage events on and off property.
Responsibilities :
- Control all aspects in the execution of banquet functions
- Supervise the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service
- Coordinate every aspect of the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service
- Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in the complete operation of the Banquet Department
- Open and close day-to-day operations
- Complete Banquet Employee reviews and attendance history
- Supervise Banquet Captains, Servers, and Housepersons in service, room set-ups, clean up, and payroll administration
- Comply with staffing guides and punch detail reports
- Assist in keeping necessary inventories on equipment, food, and beverage items
- Provide day-to-day reports on groups and employees to the Director of Food & Beverage
- Complete and understand all paperwork; Ace Forms, cash bar procedures, safety checklist report, etc.
- Adhere to hotel policies and procedures
- Assist in all designated staff / pre-function meetings
- Conduct monthly ATGT Meetings
- Maintain training sheets and disciplinary action
Qualifications :
Enforce and adhere to all liquor lawsBecome winequest certifiedHave alcohol training certification (TABC) and food handlers training certificationMaintain liquor as per par level, make requisitions daily for bottle to bottle exchange2-3 years of previous high-volume banquet experience requiredHigh School Degree or Equivalent; Some College PreferredExceptional people skills preferredMust be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform professionally under high levels of stressComputer skills requiredFlexibility in availability to include nights, weekends, and holidaysOmni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer - vets / disability.
