Senior Total Rewards Specialist

Overview

The Senior Total Rewards Specialist is responsible for conducting research and analysis across all areas of compensation and benefits, including market benchmarking, compensation statistics, and trends. This role partners with stakeholders to evaluate jobs and classifications, prepare and assess the budgetary impact of compensation decisions, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, labor laws, and benefits initiatives. In addition, the Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional partners to design and adjust salary structures, shape the benefits strategy, and develop competitive compensation packages. This position is a full-time, on-site role in Augusta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual compensation cycle, covering performance-based pay, bonuses, and merit reviews.
• Influence a consistent compensation philosophy in line with our organizational culture and objectives.
• Ensure compensation and performance management programs remain competitive and align with compensation strategy.
• Ensure internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
• Assess jobs and respective duties to determine the appropriate salary range, as well as maintain job classifications and salary scales.
• Recommend merit increases based on salary surveys and other benchmarking data.
• Lead and analyze relative market compensation surveys for all positions.
• Contribute to the planning, research, and execution of new benefits-related projects.
• Prepares compensation and benefits reports, analyzing trends and making data-driven recommendations.
• Administer and manage the organization's 401(k) and pension plans, ensuring accurate and timely processing of enrollments, contributions, distributions, and compliance reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding retirement benefits, providing guidance, education, and support to help them maximize their plans.
• Partner with plan providers, trustees, and vendors to oversee plan operations, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to service-level agreements.
• Monitor plan performance and fees, assisting with plan audits and contributing to vendor evaluations and renewals.
• Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other regulatory requirements related to retirement plans.
• Prepare and maintain plan documentation, communications, and required filings (e.g., Form 5500).
• Collaborate with Finance and HR teams to reconcile contributions, review payroll feeds, and ensure accurate data integration across systems.

Projected Work Schedule

Normal work hours are 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
