Job Title : Business Analyst Underwriting Systems

Location : USA (Remote)

We are hiring a Business Analyst with deep P&C Insurance underwriting experience to support underwriting modernization and data strategy initiatives for one of our premier consulting clients.

Responsibilities

Partner with underwriting teams to capture business rules, risk criteria, and compliance requirements

Document current workflows and identify optimization opportunities

Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements

Work closely with development and QA teams to validate underwriting logic and system outputs

Support UAT through test case creation and data validation

Ensure alignment across underwriting, IT, and data teams

Validate data ingestion, mappings, and downstream impacts

Contribute to data restructuring efforts with the data strategy team

Required Experience

5+ years as a Business Analyst in the Insurance industry

Strong understanding of underwriting processes and regulatory considerations

Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, Duck Creek, or similar platforms

Expertise in workflow documentation, BRDs, FRDs, and UAT

Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
