Job Overview :
The Health & Safety Compliance Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs across all field and shop operations. This role ensures compliance with OSHA standards, internal safety policies, and client-specific requirements. The manager will lead training initiatives, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and collaborate with project managers and foremen to foster a culture of safety and accountability.
Key Responsibilities :
Safety Program Oversight
- Maintain and update company safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA 10 / 30, PIT, rigging, and lockout / tagout training requirements.
- Oversee onboarding safety orientation and annual refresher training via Mineral and PowerPoint.
Field Compliance & Auditing
Conduct regular field audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols.Monitor use of equipment such as manlifts, forklifts, and cranes for safe operation.Identify and correct unsafe behaviors or conditions in collaboration with field leadership.Incident Management
Lead investigations of workplace incidents and near-misses.Document findings and implement corrective actions.Maintain records of incidents and safety violations.Training & Development
Coordinate OSHA and equipment-specific training for new and existing employees.Support apprenticeship and workforce development programs (e.g., Welding Fundamentals, RACC).Mentor foremen and project managers on safety leadership and compliance.Regulatory & Client Compliance
Ensure all field operations meet client-specific safety requirements.Prepare documentation for client audits and regulatory inspections.Reporting & Communication
Provide regular safety reports to ownership and HR.Communicate safety expectations clearly across departments.Support disciplinary actions related to safety violations.Qualifications :
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in construction or industrial settings.OSHA 30 certification preferred; additional safety credentials (e.g., CSP, CHST) are a plus.Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, equipment safety, and field operations.Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.Ability to travel to job sites and work flexible hours as needed.Compensation details : 45000-60000 Yearly Salary
