About the Role
As CFO, you will be responsible for shaping the company's financial strategy and ensuring its fiscal health. Collaborating closely with the CEO, you will assess current financial operations and controls and further develop the company's financial plans, manage investor relations, and oversee all financial operations. The CFO will lead the Finance department, Capital Markets, Project Finance, FP&A, and Administrative Accounting.
What You’ll Do :
Leadership, Mentorship, and Collaboration :
Partner with the leadership team members to ensure appropriate controls
Build relationships with the leadership team and implement decision-making KPIs and metrics
Build, train, and mentor the existing in-house financial and any external vendors
Contribute to fostering our inclusive and diverse workplace culture
Fundraising and Investor Management :
Partner with the CEO to develop short and long-term strategies to support company growth and sustainability
Craft and execute strategies for capital raising and investor relations management, including cap table management, waterfalls, etc.
Develop and improve financial models to support fundraising and operational efforts
Manage relationships with Board Members, investors, lenders, and other stakeholders
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) :
Oversee structured finance, financial planning, cash management, tax and accounting, risk management, and financial reporting
Develop and execute sensible P&L (business model, OPEX, etc.) and Balance Sheet (loans, cash flow, working capital) strategies
Manage and improve budgeting and forecasting processes
Implement financial processes for performance management, strategic planning, and profitability analysis
Controls and Compliance :
Guide our VP of Finance to manage and implement scalable systems and continuously seek improvements to financial operations affiliated with AP and AR
Oversee the implementation of financial controls, tax, and compliance processes
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards

Highly organized with the ability adapt to changing business needs and ability to manage multiple moving parts
Self-motivated and results-oriented, strategic thinker with an ability to learn, contribute, and are willing to take full ownership over the Finance & Legal Team
Willing to work out of our Midtown Manhattan office Monday through Friday
What You Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and / or CPA highly desired
Prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer of a successful company (i.e. startup post-profitability)
10+ years in progressively responsible financial and operational leadership roles
Proven ability to lead diverse stakeholder groups, including the executive team, partners, vendors, and customers.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with the executive team
Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Experience in capital markets, financial partner relationships, and transaction execution
Prior experience with M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration preferred
Experience with early- to mid-stage funding strategies
