American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring trauma and procedural experience with availability for call and holiday shifts.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in the Interventional Radiology unit, serving both the main hospital campus and a cancer center connected by pedestrian bridgeDay shifts are scheduled as 4x10s from 8 : 00 am to 6 : 30 pmPatient mix includes IR cases, some conscious sedation recovery, and post-procedure care; some patients transfer to PACUOn-call required 1-2 days per week, averaging 4-6 call shifts per month, with call RNs assisting with PICC but not inserting PICCsFloating between main campus and cancer center as needed within skillsetCharting is completed using EPIC EMRRole involves procedural care, assistance with PICC lines during call, and recovery of patients from conscious sedationPatient ratios may vary based on census and acuity when floatedOrientation includes approximately 18 hours of non-billable modules and 4 hours of EPIC training, all to be completed pre-startClinicians are expected to adhere strictly to agreed-upon work schedules; no block scheduling is permittedRequests for time off after an offer will not be accommodatedClinicians must complete any missed shifts within the same pay period and cannot call out during the final week of assignmentProfessional attire or scrubs required per unit policy\n \n Requirements\n
Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum of 1.5 years of Level I trauma or 2 years of Level II trauma experience required; stroke center experience acceptedBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredExperience with a-line and procedural wedge pressures requiredEKOS or similar device experience highly preferredScrub experience preferred but not requiredMust be available to work 2 of 3 major holidaysFirst-time travelers and local candidates are accepted at the same rateRNs must not have been employed by the health system within the past year to be eligible\n Benefits\n
