Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel Assignment

Location : Nashville, TN 37232 (Tennessee nursing jobs)

Healthcare Setting : Main OR Float Pool – 1000+ bed hospital, Level 1 Trauma Center

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights)

Hours per Week : 36

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 20 / 2025, End : 1 / 17 / 2026)

Orientation Dates : 10 / 6, 10 / 13, 10 / 20, 10 / 27

Call Required : Yes, 30-minute response time

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2,940 - $3,150

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state)

BLS certification

Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience

Expertise in heart transplants and endoscopic vein harvesting (Hemapro 2 and / or Vasoview 6 systems)

Experience with diverse surgical specialties : neuro, trauma, general, orthopedic, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms, ambulatory ortho, burn, hepatic-biliary

COVID vaccine series completed or valid exemption by start date

Ability to scrub required

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Serve as First Assist in the Main OR, supporting complex surgical procedures

Perform endoscopic vein harvesting using Hemapro 2 and / or Vasoview 6 systems

Float within the Operating Room as needed (no floating outside OR)

Deliver care for adult patients across multiple case types : open heart, transplant, trauma, neuro, and more

Participate in call rotation with prompt response

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
