Facility : Mayers Memorial District Hospital

Shift : M-Th 10-hour days with call on Fri, Sat & Sun; then switch to nights M-Th 10-hour days with Fri, Sat & Sun off. This rotation repeats.

Weekly Stipend : $1,246.00

Weekly Taxable Pay : $2,156.22

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Valid and current licensure in the State of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (must be active and current).

Required certifications within 6 months of hire : ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, OSHA Respirator Fit Testing certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire).

Preferred Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by at least an associate’s degree in Respiratory Care.

Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; strong recommendations considered for new graduates.

Mandatory PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) experience.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and monitor respiratory treatments per physician orders.

Conduct respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Assist with advanced airway procedures, including intubations and aerosol therapy.

Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and communicate clearly with patients.

Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA and PPE protocols.

Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Support patient education and discharge planning as needed.

Perform additional duties to support departmental operations.
