The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Global Portfolio Marketer within the Mounting, Fastening & Protecting Business Unit, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world.

The person hired for this position will serve as the primary global product marketer for Scotch Fix mounting tape, 3M CLAW, Scotch Fasteners and Scotch surface protection products within the Mounting & Fastening Business Unit. This position will provide global portfolio direction for both existing and new products.

Here, you will make an impact by :

  • Leading projects with cross functional teams to develop and commercialize new products.
  • Taking ownership & accountability for the sales & margin performance of the MFP portfolio including all new products after the first 12 months of launch.
  • Partnering with the Global Portfolio Leader and APLs to prioritize strategic programs and align resources to deliver accelerated growth and operating income in prioritized markets.
  • Researching, interpreting, and reviewing consumer insights and market information for trends and opportunities to influence new product programs.
  • Overseeing product line pricing and portfolio management strategies.
  • Working closely with manufacturing on cost reduction and source of supply efforts.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Eight (8) years marketing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Eight (8) years' experience working with cross-functional team in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :

  • Knowledge and experience with the theories and practices of one or more disciplines such as : market research, channel marketing, business / market development, branding, new product development, marketing communications or sales.
  • Ability to analyze and apply data to drive strategy and sales.
  • Prior consumer, shopper marketing or sales experience.
  • Prior experience assisting with the creation of a rolling marketing plan tied to business plan.
  • Prior experience managing projects and project teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work location : 4 days per week in the office

    Travel : May include occasional domestic & international travel
