- Assist with procedures and administer medications
- Room patients and maintain patient flow per schedule
- Take vitals, draw blood, EKG testing
- Document patient information, treatments and charges
- Organize, stock and maintain orderly, clean and uncluttered work areas
- Adhere to all safety standards; maintain current knowledge of medications, waste disposal and sterile techniques
- Maintain CPR and other appropriate certifications
- Respond to and participate in all medical emergencies and codes
Required Skills Medical Assistant required skills & qualification include :
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of a state-recognized vocational school or equivalent
- Medical Assistant diploma; current CPR certificate
- At least three years of experience as a back office MA (ambulatory care facility or medical group practice preferred)
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows
- Bilingual in English / Spanish
- Highly responsible, punctual, dependable, detail-oriented, multitasker
- Advanced customer-service skills; calm under pressure; works well in a group
