The East Carolina University School of Music is one of the premier music schools in the Southeast with recognized and comprehensive music programs. The predominantly online MM in Music Education degree recently was commended by the National Association of Schools of Music.
During the summer, the School of Music offers several summer camp opportunities to help hone a student’s skill of interest, inclusive of band, voice, guitar and chamber music. Participants in these summer programs, both resident and day camps, enjoy access to leading performers in their field of expertise, from concert band and ensembles, to solo performance opportunities. Job Duties The Summer Band and Orchestra Camp will be held from June 21-26, . Temporary band and orchestra instructors will teach and rehearse students in the 6-12th grades; provide counseling and coaching for specific area of expertise (french horn, musicianship, saxophone, flute, trombone, trumpet, clarinet, percussion, double reeds, euphonium/tuba, jazz, violin, viola, cello, bass); and may be asked to teach private lessons during afternoons (extra compensation based on number of lessons taught). Minimum Education/Experience High School Diploma and musical proficiency in either french horn, musicianship, saxophone, flute, trombone, trumpet, clarinet, percussion, double reeds, euphonium/tuba, jazz, violin, viola, cello, bass.
