Senior Staff OS Development Engineer – Video Applications

About the Team

We are seeking a highly technically skilled and experienced Senior Staff Software Engineer with a passion for embedded systems and a deep understanding of TV and Video applications to join our team.

You will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge software for the next generation of Vizio Smart TVs.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, implement, and test embedded software for Video (streaming / broadcast) processing on Smart TV platforms
• Implementation of messaging / interface layers between different software applications and systems.
• Collaborate with engineers at the UI, Middleware, and Hardware / Device layer to integrate and optimize video control and processing features
• Develop unit tests and participate in system-level integration testing in a BDD (Behavioral Driven Development) framework
• Train and mentor junior engineers
