Job Description

As a Formulations Technician, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and refinement of nutritional supplement formulations, including powders, capsules, liquids, and gummies, from concept through commercialization. This involves ingredient selection, prototype development, and iterative testing to meet performance, taste, and stability goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine nutritional supplement formulations from concept to commercialization.
• Investigate new and existing ingredients for functionality, bioavailability, sensory impact, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with suppliers to assess sourcing options and ensure alignment with quality and innovation standards.
• Prepare lab-scale samples for internal review and customer presentations, and conduct sensory evaluations.
• Perform stability and compatibility testing, including shelf-life studies and ingredient interaction assessments.
• Maintain detailed records of all formulation activities, ensuring documentation aligns with GMP standards and internal SOPs.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to transition formulations from lab to pilot and full-scale manufacturing.
• Partner with Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Product Development, and Marketing to align formulation strategies.
• Continuously evaluate formulation processes for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols in the lab and production environments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chesterfield, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.46 / hr.
