Clinical Staff Coordinator

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Clinical Staff Coordinator.

Job Duties :

  • Allocates time appropriately to effectively handle multiple priorities and varying workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creates staffing plans considering skill mix.
  • References the Staffing Guidelines for creation of staffing plans in the event of having extra staff and / or the need for contacting individuals about staffing needs / shortages.
  • Works collaboratively with department leaders to arrange orientation of staff, including setting up orientation schedules.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, showing respect in every interaction and building trust; demonstrates adherence to the Respect for People commitments.
  • Enters, monitors, and reports staffing departmental data and information as needed or requested.
  • Following tracking of time and attendance.
  • Takes personal accountability for completing assigned tasks and seeks new opportunities to provide high-quality work / service.
  • Acts as a resource, responds to questions, and provides support to department staff as it relates to payroll, time off, policies, procedures, education, and scheduling.
  • Works as a team player in a diverse workforce and looks for ways to improve interactions with all co-workers, contributing to a welcoming and helpful environment.
  • Brings feedback from staff to management on possible ways to improve processes.
  • Relieves for lunches as needed and able to jump in and help staff through a busy time or crisis.
  • Identifies, documents, and provides feedback to management on issues that are observed as having an impact on operations and employee relations.
  • In partnership with department leadership, coordinates administrative tasks, including preparation of reports, researching issues, and aiding in updating policies, procedures, manuals, and administrative tools.
  • Other duties as assigned. All duties and requirements must be performed consistent with the NGH performance standards.

  • Competent in nursing skills to help as needed in temporary situations.

  • Takes the extra mile to ensure staff have the resources needed to care for the patients.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Education : ASN or Diploma RN Required BSN Preferred
  • Additional education requirements
  • Certification & Licensures Title of Certification / License Required / Preferred BLS Required Chemo Competency, ACLS, & CPI Required within 90 days
  • Additional Certification & Licensures details Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee
  • Years of Experience : 3 Years of Clinical Experience in Acute Care
