Job Description / Primary Objective

We are seeking a conservation professional with a background in preventive conservation and a keen interest in education to fill a four-year limited-term Associate Project Specialist position in the Getty Conservation Institute's Collections Department. In this role, you will be an integral team member of the multidisciplinary Managing Collection Environments Initiative, which conducts research, education, and field activities addressing technical and practical issues related to the sustainable control and management of collection environments in museums, libraries, and archives.

This job will begin in the office full-time. The opportunity to request a telework schedule may be available after an initial period of training and orientation, subject to supervisor approval.

Requirements (Education, Level of Experience, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree in conservation, museum studies, archaeology, science, or a related discipline
• Master's degree in cultural heritage conservation (preferably in preventive conservation or museum studies) or equivalent practical conservation experience
• Minimum of 3-7 years of project management experience in cultural heritage conservation, ideally in collections care or preventive conservation
