Security Professional Media Patrol Unarmed

As a Security Professional Media Patrol Unarmed in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all occupants. Your presence and routine patrols help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong customer service skills support positive interactions with employees and visitors. You will play a key role in upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation, all within a caring culture that puts people first.

Pay Rate : $17.46 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Thur 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.

Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel.

Assist with crowd management or access control during peak times or special events within the location.

Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to provide information and assistance when required.

Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site protocols.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.

Loss prevention experience is preferred.

CPR certification is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
