Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Aeronautical This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in Layton, Utah.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Vehicle Engineering directorate.

Essential Functions :

The selected candidate will perform the following, including, but not limited to :

• Research, develop, design, and document solutions to engineering composite and metallic components and assemblies
• Apply sound mechanical engineering judgement, concepts, and techniques to produce high quality manufacturable designs
• Maintain and improve part designs, equipment, and systems in support of production deliveries
• Support other functions throughout the design and build process

As an Aeronautical Design Engineer at Northrop Grumman, you will be able to design unique and complex parts and then be able to advise and assist as those parts are made and installed. You will have the unique opportunity of watching your designs go from concepts in CAD to detail parts and complete assemblies. In this fast-paced environment expectations are high, and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of assignments. You will be able to see the implications of your designs as you observe them going through the various build stages and collaborate closely with the manufacturing engineers, system engineers, technicians and integration / test engineers.

Northrop Grumman supports a 9 / 80 work schedule with limited occasional travel to support company initiatives and program requirements.

$63,900 – 95,900.00

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
