SUMMARY :
The Lead Registered Dietitian is a vital position responsible for delivering exceptional nutritional care to all participants while collaborating with healthcare professionals to create effective nutrition strategies. This role emphasizes leadership, providing guidance to the Nutrition Department, and mentoring Registered Dietitians to maintain high standards of clinical practice and service delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Leadership & Team Oversight : Supervise and mentor Registered Dietitians and Food Service Associates; manage staff scheduling, training, and ensure adherence to departmental protocols and standards.
Clinical Nutrition Management : Conduct nutritional assessments, develop individualized care plans, document patient information, and educate participants, fostering clinical objectives and teamwork.
Menu & Food Quality Oversight : Collaborate with vendors to design appealing menus, enhance food quality, and implement efficient operational processes to improve service delivery.
Education & Wellness Programs : Create and deliver nutrition-focused education for staff and participants; lead wellness initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles.
Food Service Operations : Perform inspections, monitor food quality and participant satisfaction, and uphold safety and service standards within kitchen and food service areas.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field
5 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills
Proven commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient care
Certification in a specialty area of nutrition
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE : $31.00 - $40.00
This pay range is a good faith representation of what current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant may be. It may change in the future and is eligible for additional pay components determined by experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contractual agreements.
