Director, Corporate Engagement Manager - Energy (Clean Fuels)
Position Overview :
Capstone is launching a new Director, Corporate Engagement Manager - Energy position to strengthen our long-term relationships with clients in the clean fuels sector. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to clients following the initial engagement by our Business Development team, with responsibility for account growth, strategic advisory, and ensuring high-quality project execution.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong consulting background (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, EY, PwC) and possess fluency in the policy, commercial, and operational dynamics of the energy sector. You must be confident working with senior stakeholders, aligning internal resources to deliver value, and spotting strategic opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- Client Partnership & Relationship Management : Own post-sale relationships with key energy client becoming their primary point of contact within Capstone and ensuring continued satisfaction and engagement.
- Account Strategy & Growth : Drive account expansion by identifying new opportunities tied to regulatory, market, and technological shifts in the energy landscape (e.g., IRA, carbon pricing, clean energy mandates).
- Project Leadership & Resource Deployment : Scope client needs and work with Energy research leads to assign projects to the appropriate internal analysts or policy experts. Monitor delivery to ensure high quality and strategic alignment.
- Sector-Focused Advisory : Provide thought leadership to clients on how evolving policy and geopolitical developments impact their energy portfolios and investment theses.
- Cross-Team Collaboration : Act as a conduit between the client, Business Development, and Capstone's Energy research team to ensure the client receives consistent, actionable, and insightful service.
- Executive-Level Communication : Interface directly with senior leaders at client organizations and internally at Capstone to champion client goals and long-term value creation.
- Performance Analysis & Feedback Loop : Track and analyze client engagement, feedback, and usage data to refine service delivery and uncover white space opportunities.
Qualifications :
812+ years of experience, ideally from a top-tier consultancy (e.g., BCG, McKinsey, EY, PwC) with a focus on the clean fuels sector.Demonstrated success managing and growing senior-level client relationships.Strong understanding of policy, regulatory, and market forces shaping the global energy transition.Experience working with institutional investors, energy corporates, or energy-focused private equity is a plus.Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.Strategic, commercially minded, and able to translate complex issues into actionable insight.We are an equal opportunity employer.
