We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our team in our Bay Area office.
This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategic staffing approaches to attract a wide pool of qualified talent for the organization, while also assisting with various human resources functions such as benefits administration, performance management, and onboarding coordination.
Position Summary The HR Specialist plays a key role in supporting a wide range of Human Resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compensation coordination, performance management, and employee relations.
This position partners closely with department managers and employees to ensure consistent application of HR policies and programs across the organization.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable shifting between tactical daily tasks and strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment, run intake meetings, align on success profiles and advise on interview plans and market data.
Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, universities, and community partnerships to build diverse pipelines.
Coordinate interview logistics, including scheduling, confirmations, reschedules, and panel management.
Conduct structured phone or video screenings; gather scorecards and feedback; synthesize recommendations for hiring managers.
Coordinate offers, initiate background checks, and support onboarding and orientation logistics to ensure a smooth new-hire experience.
Track recruiting metrics (pipeline health, time-to-fill, and source effectiveness) and share weekly updates to drive continuous improvement.
Assist with benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), leaves of absence, etc.) and assist with open enrollment.
Support the performance review process, maintain training and development records, and provide guidance on HR policies and expectations.
Assist with compensation reviews, pay change documentation, and HR reporting; maintain accurate and confidential employee data in the HRIS.
Support employee engagement programs, HR communications, audits, and other HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of HR experience with emphasis on full-cycle recruiting; manufacturing background a plus.
Skilled in LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, ATS / HRIS, and interview coordination tools.
Knowledge of labor markets, compensation fundamentals, and California employment laws.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
