Overview
Eastern Group, LLC, a leading industrial automation company is seeking an experienced sales professional to drive growth across our national client base. Specializing in cutting-edge automation solutions with Rockwell Automation PLCs, FANUC Robotics and CNC systems, and industry-leading VFDs from Rockwell, Benshaw, and Control Techniques, Eastern delivers innovative motion control and automation systems to diverse industries throughout the United States. Please note, while we are based in West Virginia, this sales role allows flexibility with travel.
Position Overview : We\'re looking for a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record in industrial automation to identify opportunities, develop relationships, and close complex technical sales across multiple sectors, including manufacturing, energy, mining, and utilities. This role requires someone who thrives on building long-term partnerships while navigating technical discussions with engineering teams and executive decision-makers alike.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets across manufacturing, energy, mining, and utility sectors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities nationwide
- Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, OEMs, and system integrators
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop customized automation and motion control solutions
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals for PLCs, robotics, CNC, and VFD applications
- Manage projects from initial inquiry through successful implementation
- Travel throughout the US to meet with clients and support project sites (40-50%)
Required Qualifications
5+ years of proven B2B sales experience in industrial automation, robotics, or related technical fieldsStrong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motion control, and / or robotics applicationsExperience with any of the following strongly preferred : Rockwell Automation PLCs and VFDs, FANUC Robotics and CNC systems, Benshaw or Control Techniques VFDsDemonstrated ability to manage complex, high-value sales cyclesExperience selling into manufacturing, energy, mining, or utility sectorsExcellent communication and presentation skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyValid driver\'s license and ability to travel nationallyPreferred Qualifications
Engineering degree or technical backgroundExisting relationships within our target sectorsExperience selling capital equipment or engineered solutionsKnowledge of industrial networking and Industry 4.0 conceptsUnderstanding of energy sector automation requirementsFamiliarity with mining and utility industry applicationsWhat We Offer
