About the Role :
Cadeo is seeking a mid-senior consultant with transportation electrification experience to support research projects with market actors, utilities, and government agencies.
We are looking for an analytical individual that balances strong communication and technical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver, experienced with applying economic, statistical, and / or engineering frameworks, subject expert matter in transportation electrification and passionate about the subject.

- The consultant will mentor junior staff, manage technical tasks or projects, identify new opportunities, and aid in the development of work product.
Typical project tasks may include engaging with stakeholders, analyze data from devices, utilities, market actors, and third-party sources to deliver insights and solutions to the problems that our clients face.
Regardless of the task, this position will play a critical role in producing high-quality, accurate deliverables that communicate actionable findings with compelling narratives and visualizations both to internal and external clients.
The ideal candidate tackles challenging projects with optimism and curiosity and can apply a structured approach to complex problems where solutions are often not well-defined.
This is a full-time position located in our Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, or Washington, DC office. *Note : all Cadeo staff are currently working from home;
we anticipate returning to our office when it is safe to do so.*

- At least seven years of work experience in the transportation sector or consulting (preferably both)
- Experience with planning, development, implementation, research, or evaluation of transportation electrification. Additional experience in other DERs is highly valued.
Ability to balance analytical and technical skills to distill requirements and develop solutions for projects across Cadeos practice areas
- Experience to independently manage multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and resources staff
- Ability to work with teams from disparate disciplines, such as engineering, market research, policy, etc.
- Ability to distill requirements and develop solutions for projects across Cadeos practice areas
- Degree in engineering, economics, statistics, urban planning or equivalent
- Fluency in MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong written communication skills
